Within the first 6 months of our marriage,
we survived a property dispute that could have cost us our
new home.
We survived illness and deaths of several family related
folks all within a year.
We survived the potential of job loss and of job changes.
Together we made it through years of ‘undiagnosed
infertility’
And continue to be blessed by ‘Black Rose’ for whom we are
both eternally grateful.
We came through Patty’s fight with Wilsons Disease and her
passing.
Your mom’s illness and then your dad,
diagnosed with Bone
and Blood Cancer as well as his passing.
My folks with their various health concerns.
We have shared and overcome so much;
but after 25 years… things have changed for both of us.
Our lives are like a chocolate cake.
One made with time and love,
with a few nuts thrown in for flavour,
and topped with thick chocolate icing.
Life continues and each of us will go on making chocolate
cake.
I wish you all the best.
Life is just
like an old time rail journey; delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and
jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts
of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.
